Silly request: could this specific forum be set newest messages first, instead of last?
Would that make more sense for the ones (like me) who visit this specific thread almost every day to see what is new?August 15, 2014 at 10:36 am #85456Hi Andre,
You can mark favorite to a thread which will be shown in a list here: http://theme.co/x/member/forums/users/andycosta68/favorites/
e.g: http://theme.co/x/member/forums/users/username/favorites/
I just replied to your other thread on same topic: http://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/forum-usage-question-favorite-subscribe/#post-85451
Due to the way the forum is setup, we can’t change the order as all replies have historically been after a post (not before), so changing the order now would be confusing as people would be reading the reply before the comment.
Happy to know you’re checking this thread out often as there are some awesome sites being shared!

Site looks great!
My only feedback is regarding your background image, it’s on the heavy side at 3MB, quite large pixel wise, but low resolution.
I suggest taking the original, re-size the width to 1600-1650px and save for web at maximum quality. That should keep you under or around 1MB, which will load quicker and look nice and crisp.
Cheers!August 15, 2014 at 7:09 pm #85776Thanks Lourdes, I got it down to just over 1 MB, should speed load times
August 16, 2014 at 12:40 am #85847Would it be possible for people to also indicate which stack they used to build their sites? That would be very helpful.
Thanks
August 16, 2014 at 8:58 am #85950We did actually request that on the first page, so for those who are sharing it would be great if you could share which Stack you are using. Thanks!

August 19, 2014 at 3:29 pm #87928Hey everyone! I was one of the first (possibly THE first?) to purchase X but admittedly a little late to the forum here :-). Kory and Kyle are both friends of mine and I truly think they’ve created the best wordpress theme out there. I was using Genesis before and told Kory I’d try the theme out but wasn’t sure I’d use it. After setting it up for the first time, I was hooked. Here is my site: http://james-brandon.com/
I’m using Icon at the moment and change it up a bit quite frequently, hehe. I can never decide on a final design so I always find myself tweaking and changing things here and there.
Let me know what you think!
August 19, 2014 at 4:25 pm #87984James,
I’m a little biased, but it’s incredible!
For those not familiar, many of James’ photos are listed in our demos, and you can see even more of his work at the site above.
It’s great to also see a site that has strong social engagement so people can get an idea for the back/forth of the comments and how the focus has been around the photos and community as opposed to a design that competes with the photography. Another great use of the independent sidebar in Icon is the positioning of your optin box. It is nice and prominent and sticks with people as they scroll through the site.
Wonderful job, James!
August 19, 2014 at 11:03 pm #88152Just finished a way long, over-bureaucratic job that was frustrating us for a while. The design went through a few revisions over time but its finally done and I can share it here. There are things I would change (not fond of the grey color they insisted on using, would have gone white myself) but its done now. Content is all written by my gracious partners at Face 2 Face Communications and the Photos composited for the home screen are by an acquaintance of theirs, Dan Jackson.
August 19, 2014 at 11:20 pm #88159Just completed my site. Any comment and feedback welcome.
–> http://socialprofit.biz/August 19, 2014 at 11:42 pm #88168@ Derek – Looking good…the photos intertwined with the content in the manner you did is creative and effective! I did notice there is a little extra gray area below the navigation (runs the width of the navigation) that looks to be about 5-10 pixels. Not sure if you were wanting that there or not, but I think it would look great without it so there was a clean line under the nav.
@ Jeffrey – Overall very professional and organized! One thing I might do is in the section right above the footer, instead of making those two big areas links “Learn how our Facebook marketing can help you” and “Learn how our SEO can benefit your listing in Search Engine” I would consider making those smaller size, adding an image that goes with each, then putting a button with some call to action as the button text. For the Facebook one maybe something like “See for yourself” and for the SEO one maybe “Tell me more” (or something in that variety).
August 20, 2014 at 12:08 pm #88512Hi @ james, your site looks great! Thanks to your kind showcase, my slight fear as to whether X can be used for email opt ins or list building have been erased. Thank you
August 20, 2014 at 3:26 pm #88661Just got our agency website up and running (Integrity stack):
http://www.fourseasonstraveltime.net/I am not a super experienced WordPress user by any means, and have worked with other themes that do nothing but leave me frustrated, but X BY FAR has been fantastic! Kudos to you guys for making a professional looking website achievable for a relative noobie.
Any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The one thing I cannot figure out is the “honeymoon giveaway” on the home page I cannot get centered no matter what I do (I’ve searched through several posts and tried several suggestions but none have worked).
