You’re most welcome, Jeff. I think splitting it up into multiple pages definitely helps make the content more consumable. The image in particular I was referring to is the one now on the Contact page. It’s really tall and stretches out the band when something more streamlined and simple would be best if you really need an image at all.
One good rule of thumb I try to encourage people to keep in mind is ask yourself the question “What is my one goal for this page?” What is the one thing you want them to do? If it is to fill out a contact form, first make it so that the contact form is clear, visible, and easy to access. If after that, you feel adding an image or icon or other element will help get more people to contact you, feel free to iterate from there. Each and every page on a site should have essentially one focus otherwise your visitors are more likely to get distracted, or worse, confused as they have many potential things they could do. This kind of web design is not always intuitive when you are not used to building sites this way as most people simply want to cram as much stuff as they can on a page thinking that simply by placing more stuff it makes it more likely people will do something (which is a big misconception). One of our experts goes into a little more detail on this, and you can check out his video here.
I’ve digressed here a bit, but hopefully this helps give some 30,000 ft. view best practices for building out pages and content. Try to make sure that your pages have a clear, well-defined call-to-action. As much as possible, make sure they are focused around getting the user to do one thing or take away one thing after consuming the page, and perhaps most importantly – use Google Analytics or other tracking tools to then test to see whether visitors are actually doing what you were hoping they would be doing when on that page. Data goes a long way in this business. Hope that helps, my friend! Should you need anything further with regards to anything technical in the theme, feel free to open a new thread, and one of our developers will be happy to help.

I also really like the big/bold titles on pages such as this: http://selectretreats.com/contact/ – It appears you are using some of the blank templates with a colored content band then adding the titles/sub titles below? It is very creative and focused. Nice job!
July 8, 2014 at 8:20 am #66250Hi Everyone. Thanks for sharing your sites! It has been great to see all the different options. I am sharing the first site that I have built with X Integrity. I have tried to keep it very simple as it is basically an online academic CV. I am not very skilled at design, coding or CSS, but if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them and I’ll see if I can incorporate the advice. I have avoided a one page site for this particular one as I think that there is too much content. Thanks in advance! http://www.chloeireton.com

July 8, 2014 at 1:45 pm #66374Another first time X user here, I only got into this in February this year. The learning curve has been very steep and is showing no signs of levelling out. This site has been invaluable to me, I’ve learned a lot from this forum and the Knowledge Base is a goldmine of info.
About my site; I’ve tried to keep it simple, I think ‘Less is more’ as the saying goes, although I expect it will change before too long.
I’m open to all suggestions, so if you think there is something that can be done better, changed or omitted please let me know.July 9, 2014 at 12:11 am #66543Can someone tell me how this one was setup. I’m working with a waste management company and thinking about going with this style. This site is awesome. Nice Job Jesse
July 9, 2014 at 2:08 pm #66770Jeff- Shorten your Title. Top 5 Average Cosmotolgy Incomes By State
Then do 5 Pics with each state name and the average income per that state.
@ George…elimatate the 2nd part of you site under the main pic, place that title and logo ON the picture…right under it place a call to action. Then go to your featured.
@ Kevin looks sweet. Maybe add a contact or more information button above the fold (On your header pic)
@ Isaac. Real nice page. I’d change the color of your optin box to stand out, yellow maybe? As that appears to be your main goal. Recieve Your Free Adwords Evaluation Today

July 9, 2014 at 2:11 pm #66778Great site guys!
@Chloe It’s good, but maybe too minimal. I think box and narrow layout will be good for that 🙂
@David It’s great too, though I think the navbar grey background isn’t working well with your content (maybe just at my view) 🙂
@Reginald You could always check knowledge base and demo content for setting up pages. Then you could start copying every styling from your ideal site.
Thanks!

July 10, 2014 at 4:39 pm #67274I’ve changed my original site, would love some input and information to make it better. I need to learn how to program the backend or find someone to partner with.
July 10, 2014 at 6:53 pm #67313Hi Guys!
@andrew, That is a really simple and nice one!
@Regnald, that site is using Integrity stack, with light variant.
@Tamala, It’s nice, though menu is a little thick and overflowing at 980px – 1280px display.
@Kaz, It’s great, though it might look better if there is no white gap in every content band 🙂
Cheers!
