Hey guys, here is one I started for a friend little while back, http://www.on-time-watch.com My friend wanted to stick with his Go Daddy hosting vs what I offer, so it is a bit slower on the load time.
Also waiting on some blog post, more content and elements for sidebars. But overall I like the look and feel of it.
June 11, 2014 at 9:22 am #54997I’m finally getting comfortable with most of this theme’s many features and feeling pleased with the look of my site. I want to thank all those who’ve helped me figure out the little things that brought me to this point. It’s a work in progress. I’m going to keep learning, and with that information I’ll be able to more professionally present my content.
Here’s what I’ve got so far. It’s a pretty basic pro-wrestling site. http://www.refbumpreview.com
June 12, 2014 at 12:30 am #55393Hey Mike, nice site!
Where are you hosting the background video? On WP? I’ve been having trouble with hosting background videos … any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
Thanks,
Isaac

@Isaac, you could try using host that support streaming. Using self hosted videos were slower than with streaming, and must be in playable format.

June 13, 2014 at 6:59 pm #56119Great stuff amber :). Clean and cool! Though carousel doesn’t match the look and feel of your content, hmm maybe because of bright color 🙂 It’s Nice!
June 13, 2014 at 9:09 pm #56157that’s true! I’ve changed it from most commented to ‘featured’ – I think that’s a bit better now 🙂
June 15, 2014 at 2:06 pm #56541Now that is cool again 🙂
June 15, 2014 at 3:02 pm #56553We have started a fitness and nutrition based blog but have yet to add any fancy effects to it, preferring the simple, minimal look of the icon stack.
Still looking for a way to switch the posts to excerpts while retaining an image within the excerpt though!
June 15, 2014 at 4:16 pm #56569Looking good, Darren! You can control how big/small the excerpt is by going in the Customizer to Blog > Content then setting the number of characters you want for the excerpt.
June 16, 2014 at 7:54 am #56835Thanks Kyle, got it sorted now!
