@dale R can you maybe explain me how you made your parallax theme ?
Sorry @thomas for asking I ment the website of @dale R
and @kyle is there somewhere a tutorial how to make that parallax effect ? because they use a lot of cool parallax effects in the x theme and I fought by buying the x theme I could make that.
thank you all
June 4, 2014 at 11:53 am #52324Hi Jeffrey,
That is covered in the documentation, and if you need anything further on a particular question like that, feel free to open a new thread as we are keeping this one exclusively for showcases. Be sure that the actual effect you are liking has parallax as on our demos we don’t use it very often. If you need anything further on this topic, one of our developers will be happy to help in another thread.
Thanks!
June 4, 2014 at 2:43 pm #52427Hi,
I like the new Ethos a lot for my portfolio and blog page. It is by far the nicest form of having different presentation styles at hand. Great work! Thank you.
See you!
June 4, 2014 at 11:26 pm #52630Brilliant job, Alex! Excited to see our first customer showcase with Ethos 🙂 We’re in the process of putting together a public showcase, so it is great to start seeing some Ethos examples!
June 5, 2014 at 1:34 pm #52970I haven’t posted in the showcase yet, but I’ve been working on a site for a non-profit using the X theme. You can check it out and let me know what you think!

KyleJune 7, 2014 at 12:07 pm #53607Hi All,
Some great stuff here!Would love some feedback and critics on my site –
http://leadpex.com/I’m new to WordPress and themes in general so still working out the kinks and learning as I go…
I’m not satisfied with the home page itself yet, specifically the slider and missing some content and structure. thinking of what I can add to make it more professional and interesting. Would greatly appreciate any Ideas 🙂June 7, 2014 at 5:32 pm #53647Good work all! Jason did you do anything to pass “speed” tests, or are your Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix results x-theme straight out of the box?
June 8, 2014 at 8:06 pm #53873That’s a good start Elaad! My advice is don’t use background fit’s “contain” option, use “cover”. http://awesomescreenshot.com/0dd2y1l578 , It will look great 🙂
June 9, 2014 at 1:11 am #53970here is my site, transferred from another wordpress theme. your views and advice would be very welcome as i am just learning.
http://newabbeylife.com/June 9, 2014 at 2:40 am #54001Satisfied with my web layout so far. Just have to add more! Would love to hear some thoughts/constructive criticism on it.

June 9, 2014 at 12:14 pm #54161Looking good!
Michael, great job getting the site moved over to X, and nice use of the Icon stack. To help your images be more “centered” and fill the center column, you can simply upload a larger image.
Tsavo, nice shop! Looks like you got 2 “Search” widgets in your header. From Customizer > Header > Widgetbar, you could choose to only have one widget area. Or, some people like to use on of the columns for a text widget with contact info, or a subscribe widget from a plugin.
Take care!
June 10, 2014 at 12:56 pm #54607I cant begin to tell you how much of a newb I am at this but my company needs a site its our foundation. Its not complete but as an entrepreneur i cant stop because of the obstacles and this is one I am still climbing. So be nice with the criticism its not done, I don’t think it ever will be kinda like a painting.
