Hi there — I’m still learning WP, but here’s what I’ve been able to do so far, with a bit of help!

J’s – That decision is about to get a whole lot harder when the next Stack comes out and you have even more choices to chose from!

Matthieu – Are you sure this is your first time building sites? 🙂 The site is looking great and looks like you’ve been doing this for years!

Ophelia – That is amazing…you did that in one evening? Incredible! I for one love seeing fun, professional, yet creative blogs. Thanks a bunch for the kind words, and I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Laura – It sure is coming along! I’m happy to know our team has been able to help along the way. Just a little heads up, but it took quite a while for your page to load. I’m not seeing much by the way of content and/or heavy images (at least on the home – the portfolio page had some issues loading as well) so you may want to be in touch with your host in case your account is on a shared server with people utilizing more than their share of the available resources.

Thanks Kyle 🙂 The speed’s been an issue all along; and Super Cache conflicted and caused problems though it increased the speed alot. But I had to disable it because of all the other conflicts. I’ll check in with our host again. We are on a shared server, but maybe there’s something they can do with resource allocation.
    Thanks again. . .

Does anyone know how I can make a slideshow on the first page? I want the images to cut of similarly to https://www.langdonemison.com/

I can’t seem to figure out how to do this.

Just launched my first site this past week. Really pleased with how it has come together. X has been a lifesaver.

Would welcome any thoughts or opinions on it. Many thanks!

@ Adam – Please open a new thread if you need help getting a slider setup, and a member of our team will be happy to help!

@ Avi – Thanks for the kind words! I LOVE that opening graphic at the top, really engaging. I would work on styling your fonts (making them bigger and probably a different, darker color). Try to also incorporate some images in your content so the bottom part of your site is an engaging as the top 🙂

Tyler I just tried to view your mig.cc site with Google Chrome and got this message:

    Kaspersky Internet Security
    ACCESS DENIED
The requested URL cannot be provided
    URL: http://www.mig.cc/
    Blocked by Web Anti-Virus
    Reason: dangerous URL
    Detection method: databases

    Perhaps a false alarm?

    Hi Victor,

I just checked on my end and didn’t receive an alert or notice for Tyler’s site (on Chrome as well).

We were in the process of redeveloping our site. We decided to use your theme.
Half way there will appreciate any feedback.
