Hi Andrew,
your site is very nice and has a clean and smart design.
But nevertheless some advices for you:
In the first contentband I would use a top-margin of 20px to get some space between your slider and your headline “Welcome…”
And then I would suggest to set a container for content-band-4 (with the parallax background image) to avoid sticking the posts left and right on edge of the browser window.
šMay 16, 2014 at 7:55 am #45098Okay,

May 18, 2014 at 11:35 am #45690May 18, 2014 at 1:58 pm #45715Nice site Barrett, are you using a mega menu plugin or the standard nav that comes with X?
May 18, 2014 at 3:40 pm #45735Looking good, guys!
Jamie, it looks like they are using the standard navigation with icons, styled dropdowns, and some transparency. Has a great look and feel to it and the colors work really well together. Nice job, Barrett!
May 18, 2014 at 6:48 pm #45763Wow Matthew that website looks great! How were you able to get that video cover the whole screen and remove the scroll bar?
May 19, 2014 at 9:11 am #45998Hi Alfonso,
This can be done using Revolution Slider.
1. Create a slider, and add your content as transparent slides.
2. Edit the Slider settings, and make sure it’s set to “Full Screen”
3. Edit your home page, and assign your slider to that page from “Slider Settings – Below Masthead”
4. Some new options will become available. Here you can add a link to a background video. This should be a self hosted MP4 file. Vimeo plus is a great solution for this. That should do it! If you need any further assistance, feel free to open a support thread and we can help you look into it. (This way we can keep this thread on topic)
Take care!
May 21, 2014 at 5:26 am #46790Hey Robert J, Love the site. http://shop.painthog.com. Actually, I love all of your sites. But just wanted to comment that Iām jealous about your great use of colour. I tried using more colour on my site and got some negative feedback from my customers. They much preferred the serious single colour site I have now. /sigh
May 21, 2014 at 8:35 am #46834The trouble with a great theme like X is that with so many options, it is hard to settle on a specific look.
This is the look I am going to stick with … at least for the next few weeks… š
http://www.candidtown.com/May 21, 2014 at 10:25 am #46897Wow guys, there is a lot of wonderful site here ! Here is my contribution to this post.
Will love to have some of your feedback !
(BTW, there is some graphic bugs with firefox, you better try it with chrome ! š )
May 21, 2014 at 5:45 pm #47053This is me: http://persephonemagazine.com. We’re pretty active, so I played it fast and loose by giving us a total makeover last night, but I really love it. There are still some minor tweaks I’m making, but overall, I’m very pleased with how everything works/looks, and how easy it’s been to make the changes I want to the child theme.
Yay for X! I can’t wait to redo the Media Kit and our About pages with new templates.
