Looking great, Alex! I love seeing people staying true to the heart of WordPress by building incredible blogs. Glad we could partner with you along the way!
May 9, 2014 at 11:50 am #42629Nice work Alex! Makes me hungry. Beautiful photography too! I like the idea of having the tags and recent posts in the top drop-down. I may have to “borrow” this idea 😉
May 10, 2014 at 6:26 pm #43006Yes, beautiful and nice work! 😉
May 11, 2014 at 12:30 am #43099Awesome site Matt, inspiring for my own X project!
Feedback I could give you is that personally, I like having something static between parallax images. It looks better organized that way, and highlights the static content amazingly.
The yachting page is impressive indeed!

Thanks for your feedback for Matt.
May 12, 2014 at 4:06 pm #43622Hi Kyle (and Theme.co),
My reply’s a little late, but: thanks for your compliments 🙂
“One thought related to your typography size might be to make your normal paragraph text about the size of [the subheader].”
Have been playing around with this, but in my opinion this would make my normal paragraph text too large. I also don’t think I want to “draw too much attention” to the paragraph. The header (“Lookin’ good”) should be a teaser, the subheader (translated: “Our websites look good on all screens. And in search engines.”) should function as the “warm up to the call to action”. The actual call to action will be a button positioned below the paragraph which leads to a page that’s actually under construction right now, and which will contain a little more detailed description of services I offer.
The paragraph is intended to give a little push if people aren’t persuaded yet by the header + subheader to click the call to action.
On the services page the same structure will be used: header to tease, subheader to warm up, call to action to lead people to the “request a free quote” page.
But to cut a long story short: I might enlarge the paragraph text soon 😉
May 12, 2014 at 4:38 pm #43631Sounds like you’re thinking through all the details, Kaz! That’s good…it’s always about the details 🙂

May 15, 2014 at 5:24 am #44704Hey Ryan, I love your site! I’m trying to get images in a portfolio to show in a nice gallery, and then a clickable lightbox just as you have on http://www.dbband.org/galleryfront/2013-western-carolina-toc/, but I’m really new to this. Is there any chance that you could talk me through the steps I need to make please? Most specifically in regards getting the images to appear in that clickable lightbox. Think I can manage the rest 🙂
Many thanks.
Brad
