I was having problems with my previous theme loading very slowly! I love x theme because of how fast and easy to customize it is!

latest X site is live. Using Ethos.
My smallest, but so far favorite site. I designed the entire visual identity of the brand. From the logo right to the emotional feel of its presentation.
Although it is a really small site at the minute a fair amount of customizing went into the look. My favorite is the slide over slider at the top of the home and about pages.
There are only 3 pages up so far, with a few more to come. If you visit ignore the Stressless and Furniture One pages as they are just iFrames.
I am really pleased with this one, but probably too small to expect it to make the Showcase.

You mentioned the site is loading much faster then your previous theme. I actually think you can squeeze a heap more speed out of the site by:
- making fewer http requests
- adding expires headers
- minifying JS and CSS
- configuring ETags
- and image optimisation
According to GTMetrix the current load speed is 5.1 seconds with a page size of 1.76MB, and 135 http requests.
As you are probably already aware, Google really takes page speed into account now when ranking your site. And statistics show visitors are 75% more likely to return to a site which loads in under 3 seconds.

Switched to X renew 1 from churchthemes.com which was a big step but worth while in the end.
Thank you Themeco for assisting in my first attempt at site building and using WordPress, yes its still a little overwhelming but with Themeco support and the abundance of information available I’m hoping in on the right track.

You have done a wonderful job for your first attempt at building a site using WordPress. I think this is a great example of why the X Theme is such a brilliant theme. Everyone can produce a simply stunning and functional website without too much coding knowledge.
I enjoy looking through some of the beautiful sites in this thread. Keep them coming 🙂
