great looking sites! I can not get the image/or on the main page to be the whole side above the fold! how do I do that? Maybe its the timeline setting to be below the fold. any advise? I really liked how the demo theme looked. thanks http://www.calstatelender.com/

I am proud of my website, since I am no webmaster and researched and asked all my way through the forum here, when something wasn´t clear. The support was really helpful and I hope they fix this new cornerstone update fast, which I just got rid off by restoring my backup from yesterday!

Oh, and I guess the video in the beginning is a tad too long. Except if you like oranges 🙂

When I started as the marketing manger for A.M. Sun Solar their website was in really bad shape. I’ve built my sites with Avada in the past, but have had my eye on X Theme for a while. I decided to take the plunge and build a brand new website from the ground up on X. After the wireframes and homepage design, we built the new website in 18 days. I attribute this to the robust functionality and Cornerstone. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

    Hey all,

Big fan of theme X and over the summer we have build our new company website with it. By the way the forum was a big help building it and thanks for that! Check it out at http://www.skytree.eu and we would like it obviously if our site could be part of the theme X showcase?

    Cheers,
    Bardia

Just finished a new website for one of the leading racecar body manufactures, ARBodies. Full e-commerce website, with a quoting tool instead of direct payment on the website (since they have a lot of shipping variables, if anyone has a good idea for doing payments with doing the shipping costs after the sale, please let me know). Over 300 products on this website, lot to it but I think it came out great. Thank you to the support community for their help in this project, I’m proud of this one!

Hi Jackchan – Incredible job! Such a great example of using an Expanded Demo then fine tuning with your own custom touches, colors, content etc. Just phenomenal!

Hi Charlisea – Thanks for sharing a couple of your projects and for the repeat business…we appreciate it!

Hi Sandra – I definitely think dark can work in certain applications/instances. A completely dark site can be a bit heavy but the one Jack shared a couple before you has what I feel is a good combination of darker backgrounds mixed in with brighter content areas for contrast.

Hi Jonathan – Wonderful job, my friend and a big thanks for the kind words! The transparent menu is a nice touch at the top, and you’ve done a great job with the content and presentation – very well thought out and executed.

Hi Ssafholm – Looks like you may still be tinkering…if you have any questions on features in the theme, a member of our staff would be happy to help in the main forum.

Hi Eric – Awesome work as usual, my friend! A big thanks for the continued business and looking forward to seeing the next 17 🙂

Hi Filmfrucht – Mmmm, now I want an orange 🙂 Nice job on the site: clean and professional!

Hi Brian – Looking great! Thrilled to know you were able to get everything done in a timely manner for the project and excited to have you on board. Looking forward to seeing the next one!

Hi Bardia – Many thanks for the kind words, my friend! The site is looking great. One thing I noticed was that the type size on the interior pages (About, Technology, etc) felt a bit small – certainly still professional (and maybe intended) but just on an initial viewer reaction came off a little smallish. I might consider using the Responsive Text Element. Just a thought.

Hi Evan – And proud you should be! All in all I think it came together very nicely. The only thing that felt a bit off to me was the search icon centered on its own row. I think it would look better on the row with the menu, however if you have a custom menu and are going for a certain look, I’d at least put a border at the bottom of the menu so it cleaned up the lines a bit. Many thanks for the repeat business, we look forward to continuing to work with you. (Sandra, in reference to your comment about darker background sites this is another example of when a darker site can work with the right background elements, complementary images, etc).

Hi Victor – Great to see another government site in the mix and from the great state of Texas to boot! We have X in multiple state and federal agencies, and we’re thrilled to know you are enjoying your time with Cornerstone! I have a couple quick thoughts. 1) On the marginless column section, I’d add some more margin below the buttons. Ideally about as much as you have at the top above MOVE, GROW, START. 2) A couple of sections down where you have the 2 marginless columns with the text over the top, I’d consider a darker overlay over the image as the text is a tad hard to read currently. All in all, it’s looking great though, and thank-you for taking the time to share!

I’m pretty happy as the website stands now, we’ve also just had some really positive feedback from a recent user testing panel. I’m not sure I’ll ever be 100% happy with every element of the design though but isn’t that always the case!

I do, however, remain a little concerned that the white text on a dark background is a risky design. I’m hoping that as our site is generally a one-time visit leading to a conversion, it shouldn’t present a problem in the long term. It’s one I will definitely be keeping an eye on through regular user testing.

Wow, It’s so cool checking out what others do with the theme.
You can really tell the difference when a pro does the work. It just has that extra bit of sparkle. Something to aspire to.

    Here’s my contribution.

I’m brand new to WordPress and was lucky enough to come across X. It’s world apart compared to what I was doing in Joomla.
I’m an absolute novice, fumbling my way, breaking things then fixing things and wondering what I did to fix it 🙂

This is my first site, before Cornerstone.
It’s for my wife’s singing school, here in sunny Australia, where it’s “hotter than a snake’s bottom on a desert”.
    http://www.lovetosing.com.

This is my second site. This one is using Cornerstone. Wow, what a difference in usability!
It’s for my guitar teaching business.
    http://www.guitarplayerstudios.com.

They are both a work in progress.

I’m using W3Cache and followed the recommendations provided in the Knowlege Base, as best as I could.
Compressed images etc. However, the sites are still loading slowly. More work to do.

Thanks for the inspiration from everyone that posts up their sites.

I’m no web developer, but I’ve had a fun time putting this one together over the last several months. I still have more work that I’d like to do, but I’m kind of enjoying how it has turned out. Even in spite of my poor development skills, the site has landed me several clients.
