Made some big updates to my website and changed it greatly since the last post. Content still to go up, but feel free to have a look! I was a wordpress beginner 3 weeks ago!

Hi Sfit15 – Great to hear that! It’s always fun to hear about people who are relatively new able to get up and running (and having fun at it hopefully) so fast! It would be great to see the site once you get it all finished, but I think you’re off to a good start.

Please, please, please make more sites and share them with us 🙂 This is a shining example of how X can be customized to a very high degree. Hi Anni – Congrats on the first project…it looks wonderful! One thought on that section on the homepage with all the text: maybe add a dark overlay over the photo so the text stands out a bit more. All in all, you’ve done a superb job and the whole site conveys a very strong, professional look! You’ve also struck a good balance of animations/effects in the right places like that flip card in the footer.
Hi Kaileen – I think it’s looking great…especially the homepage. I would consider a site wide call to action in the footer that invites people to get in touch with you. Thanks for sharing your work with us and for the repeat business!
Hi PRCPTIONTravel – Really creative site and colors. This is one of the things I love so much about X…every site can look so different. I think the black/yellow really works well together and the whole site has a very creative magazine/news/blog feel to it. Nice work!
Hi Matt – Thanks for sharing your first official client site with us…that is a great accomplishment! The purple is a tad bit hard on my eyes (not so much at the top but that section in the middle with the 4 text paragraphs) but I do love the color. All in all, I think you’ve laid out a very nice and professional site. The About page feels a bit text heavy, but you’ve done a great job with a clear and repeated call to action. I know I say it a lot, but that is so important in effective, modern web design – not just designing to be pretty but to entice the visitor to do the thing that will make you or the client money. Nice job…looking forward to seeing the next ones!
Hi Alex – Thank you very much for that! It looks like you or someone on your team may have been working on the page when I visited it, but I definitely think you’re going in the right direction. One small suggestion as a user – it’s mildly annoying to me when music autoplays on a site with no way to turn it off. To be sure, it’s a balance as sometimes the music can really help with the creative interpretation of the site but did just want to pass that along as food for thought. We look forward to continuing to work with you all!
Hi Karen – Love the elegance of it. The color palette works really well together, and this is a great example of how the right layout and colors can really complement the “theme” of the site. Really nice job!
I am looking for constructive criticism and new ideas for our optometry business site. I just did the update to x 4.0.6 and am looking forward to redoing it in cornerstone. I would like to find ways to better utilize features/elements of X to make the site have more of a professionally made look.

This one will never be finished. It’s a project which has developed a life of it’s own and just keeps getting better.
