April 2, 2014 at 11:41 am #29121Hi Dev’s
Well after some much coding, shouting and swearing we finally got 2 amazing plugins to work with your theme, and i think it would be a welcome feature for a future theme update check out at http://www.a2bdesigners.com let us know what you think.
I had to disable the parts on the portfolio page as you guys use isotope loading other than that i think its awesome.
Regards
AdamApril 2, 2014 at 12:28 pm #29133Just finished this one using the X Theme – Renew Stack… Check it out!

April 2, 2014 at 1:02 pm #29159C E, really enjoying everything you’ve put together on the site you provided, and the artwork is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Adam, If you wouldn’t mind getting in touch with us via our contact form and writing it to “Kory,” I’d be curious to know what plugins you were using and what issues you were facing to see what we can do going forward.
Mark, really loving the colors and textures you’ve combined on your site. Your work itself is also very impressive! 😀
Atahualpa, the shortcode adds the link and the title, but you need to add in the text to the link itself. For example, it would output something like this if you filled out the link and the title:
<a href="http://yourdomain.com/" title="Your Title"></a>
As you can see, there is no text between the opening and closing <a> elements, you would need to put something here for the link to be visible, thanks!
As always, thanks for sharing guys…we look forward to continuing to see what you have to offer!
April 2, 2014 at 2:01 pm #29185Thanks i will drop an email through for kory in a moment, glad you like what i have put together.

April 5, 2014 at 4:28 am #30090Overall Matthew I think you did a great job with this theme.
Some things to consider, take it with a grain of salt but you asked for suggestions here are some of mine.
• It takes a long time to get to your content.
• Overuse of the parallax is not a good thing – I would tone this down to one or two.
• Icon usage that doesn’t click through to anything – people have a tendency to click on everything having icons that don’t lead your to anything or don’t have content that explains them leaves potential clients in the dark.
• Hidden Content – on rollover/ hover state may be hurting your SEO again this is what I mean by hard to get to your content.Things I would add – Video that explains what you do, upfront lead generation of some kind to capture potential clients and testimonials would be killer.
Hope this helps,
-NApril 6, 2014 at 2:13 am #30269Photography Blog in French … Not posting very often.
Not using lightbox features for pictures, nor galleries … but I’ll continue customize the content when I’ll have time (as this is a hobby). No sliders. Most posts do not use VC.
Anyway, it uses ICON … with some CSS customization 🙂 (also a hobby)
– Navigation, footer and sidebar colored
– Background pattern
– Comment area colored
– Suppressed some unwanted stuffs (like prev-next arrows)
– Dissociated link (a) css for content and side bar (hoover included)
– Suppressed underline on links when using custom colors on post types (video – quote – etc ..) (those “underline” appeared on the share buttons or other stuffs like printfriendly)
– reworked h1-h6 sizes (Masonary vs page/post content)
– reworked scroll-top to cope with colored sidebar
– eye catching box in sidebar when going to a post
– … and a lot of small additional stuffs …I’m waiting for more options in the recent post shortcode .. to build another homepage (like a way to display excerpts).
I’m now using masonary 2 columns. Some stuffs I added for the front end :
– Social Fan counter (on Code Canyon)
– Translated front end in French (backend in english)
– Print Friendly
– WP Post Navigation
– Share and Related content by Jetpack (was using something else before that feature was enabled)
– Better Recent Comment Pro
– Dave’s WordPress Live Search (couldn’t resolve a little CSS issue here as the sidebar scrolls independently)
– Custom Recent Posts WidgetSome stuffs I added for the Back End :
– Wodpress SEO
– W3 Total cache (struggled a bit for that one, especially on JS manual load)
– 5sec Proper 404 (Code Canyon) – Redirect any 404 error to a 404 page
– Akismet
– Backup Creator Ultimate
– BJ Lazy Load to disable not displayed images in the browser when accessing the page
– iThemes Securtiy (old Better WP security)
– Jetpack par WordPress.com
– Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions (a must)
– CommentLuv Pro
– P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler)
– Remove XMLRPC Pingback PingI optimized every single image from the web site including those delivered with the theme (that’s something you should do yourselves I believe).
With all the customizations (images, minify, cache) the homepage gets a 91/100 on google pagespeed.
Voilà (that’s it)
Cheers,
Eric -
