    Remind me again why this plugin can’t just update nicely by clicking the update now button such the way all the other plugins can update?

    I get this error yet the URL provided for the plugin is well and activated for the plugin.

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

    Hi There,

    I could see that you have installed the latest version bundled with X theme. You are not able to update the version which is not bundled or compatible with X theme.

    For latest version check:

    https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/

    That doesn’t help because you completely contradict both statements you made.

    are you saying that I have the latest version bundled with X theme?
    are you saying that I have a version which is not bundled or compatible with X theme?

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the confusion, you didn’t get it properly. Let me clarify a bit more.

    According to our Version Compatibility and Changelog latest compatible version of Visual Composer is v5.0 that you are already using. So the version just released is not yet available on automatic update from Themeco server. We’ll do some compatibility test before putting into the update server. So kindly wait for couple of days.

    The updates for visual composer still has the same error. I have two sites that use that plugin and they both do not update anymore.

    Hello There,

    Please keep in mind that we are the one who provide the bundled plugin updates. We need to test the stability of the plugin release version first before we upload it to our plugin repository and make it available in automatic updates. This is why we have a list of plugin version compatibility which you can check out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/

    If the latest release from the plugin creators has not been tested yet, you can not update to that version.

    Hope this explains it briefly.
