Beth KParticipantOk. I have loved X Theme. I am using it for 3 different sites and have also built sites for clients with X Theme. BUT every time there is an update at least one of the included plugins stops working. It is usually Visual Composer. And I can’t update or do anything with Visual Composer because I didn’t buy it directly from the developer. And I have a different X Theme purchase codes from you for each site (but is impossible to tell which one is for what) because for some reason you make me buy it individually every time, even though that is kind of against WordPress theme standards for this very reason.
So, I JUST got one of my sites working again and there was an auto update (forgot to turn that stupidness off) and now Visual Composer IS NOT WORKING AGAIN.
I need help getting everything back to a sound and stable point with this site as well as the others I run. I do not want to move away from X because it is a powerful theme and the thought of re-theming 3 different sites makes me want to cry in a corner.
Please see lyfshoes.com and get this thing back on track. And tell me how to stop this from happening again and again and again.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Please delete your current current version of Visual Composer plugin and install the latest X compatible version through X Addons section within your WordPress backend.
You can check the latest version numbers from here (https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/).
Hope that helps.

Beth KParticipantI don’t see X Addons section anywhere

Beth KParticipantthank you. found it. deleted and re-added Visual Composer. Version 4.12.1 which is also what your compatibility reference says. It still not working. I use Visual Composer from the back end editor (not the wysiwyg front end editor). The back end editor thing is what is not working.

NicoModeratorHappy to hear that.
Feel free to ask us again.
Thanks.

Beth KParticipantuhhh the rest of my comment was about how it still wasn’t working…

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
It seems that you’re experiencing a plugin conflict. You could try testing for a plugin conflict by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!September 21, 2016 at 9:42 am #1184720
Beth KParticipantwhew.
For anyone following along, the plugin I had a problem with is
Woocommerce Catalog Visibility Options, which is a plugin designed to enable your product section of site to show without referencing prices or inventory.Thank you.
