    Hi, I’ve updated X before and last time I updated X, the Visual composer wasn’t updated. When I contacted support your staff said that it was up to date (even though it wasn’t the latest version).

    Now, I’m running X theme Version: 4.4.2 with a child theme. And version 4.9.2 of WPBakery Visual Composer. It says that version 4.11.2.1 needs to be installed but that I have to purchase it from Code Canyon. Doesn’t the latest version come with the X theme?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! As for now, you cannot update it directly but you can always get the latest X compatible version. According to our changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/), current latest version of Visual Composer that comes with X is v4.11.2.

    Hi again,

    Sorry I wasn’t very clear in my communication. This is the problem: I updated the X theme to version 4.4.2 but the WPBakery Visual Composer did not update to the latest version when I updated X theme. It still shows that I’m running version 4.9.2 of visual composer.

    How can I update to the latest version of Visual Composer?

    Would you please check following URL and confirm that update is available?
    http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/update-core.php?

    You should be able to update VC without purchasing the plugin.
