    Hello!

    I just updated to the latest version of the X theme on my site. I assumed it would come with the latest version of Visual Composer, but it doesn’t look like the plugin updated. Is this accurate? I’m asking because we’re experience an issue with VC where when we try to add or edit a Text box, it just hangs and never opens to let us add our text.

    Obviously I could modify this the manual way but my client cannot–is there any solution you can provide? I’d rather not have to purchase a separate VC license since we’ve already paid for the theme.

    Hi there,

    You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    If it doesn’t help, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password

    Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

    Hey there,

    I am testing it without the 3rd party plugins. It seems like perhaps Jetpack is the issue. This strikes me as a bit of a snafu though since Jetpack is such a common plugin. I have not 100% confirmed that it’s the culprit, but if it is–seems like something that should be addressed given how prevalent it is.
