    Hi, I have the following issue:

    1. I am unable to update the site as visual composer in the backend editor is not loading.
    2. I registered the site for theme update and connected the url with the purchase code, but there is no API Key showing anywhere so couldn’t provide API info in the site verification page.
    3. Please help me fix the visual composer issue so I can update the site.

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password

    Hi There,

    Upon Checking your website you are using a quite old version of X.

    At this time you will need to perform a manual update.

    As you are jumping from version 2.6 to 4.52 we do recommend you do perform a backup of your website before this process.

    Please do the following:

    1- Backup your website.

    2- Turn off every cache and security plugin you have.

    3- Turn off X-Shortcodes (This plugin should be deleted once you perform the update, it is now incorporated in Cornerstone and both togheter will conflict)

    4. Revoke your API key from X Addons section (check the bottom of the page) and also remove it from your license page on Themeco.

    4. Delete both X theme (/wp-content/themes/x) and Cornerstone plugin (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone) by connecting to your FTP (your settings will be saved in the database)

    5. Download the latest copy of X and upload it to your themes folder via FTP OR you can upload the x.zip via Appearance -> Themes section.

    6. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.

    If still doesn’t work, please update Cornerstone manually by uploading it to ftp. Please check our our knowledge base to know how: https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

    Remember now you will use your purchase code to validate X not an API Key.
