Daniel BParticipantHi Themeco
URL: http://www.blackburns.com.au/
WP Version: 4.7.1
X Version: 4.1.1
Cornerstone: 1.3.3Visual Composer is not allowing me to edit any pages.
I see a collapsed version of the Visual Composer edit Box which I am unable to open and edit.
I think it may require to be updated to the latest version 5.0 via a theme update (not sure if it is bundled in), but last time I tried to update the theme the site broke and I am hesitant to do it again.
Hence am I able to update Visual Composer without updating the theme?
This may also have something to do with X Shortcodes as my hosting engineer deactivated that to get the site live again.
I really need to make some simple changes to a page and this has become an unnecessary hurdle. Are you able to assist?

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! You should not have X Shortcodes since it was replaced by Cornerstone long ago. Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

Daniel BParticipantHi There
I have removed the cornerstone plugin and updated the theme to 4.6.4.
I have also updated all of the plugins.
Now the site is broken, it seems like the style sheets are not connecting.
I am also unable to edit the theme as the Customise Editor crashes every time I try and access it?
I also tried deactivating my plugins but this does not prevent the editor from crashing.

Daniel BParticipantI found that the directory for the CSS file was forked into a different folder.
It was placed in…
x/framework/css/dist/site/stacks/renew.css where it should be positioned at
x/framework/css/site/stacks/renew.css
I am not sure how this occur but have placed a copy of renew.css in the correct location for the time being.
This has corrected the style issue, however I am still unable to save any theme changes and the menu font has gone all out of whack on the desktop and mobile version?

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this after the update. What you’re seeing is a result of the X CSS path structure being changed back in version 4.3.3. You can fix this by using the updated child theme format that isn’t stack specific. Or you can update the path in
style.cssof your child theme. For more information on this process, take a look at the 4.3.3 release notes: http://theme.co/changelog/#theme-4-3-3After fixing this, we’ll help you with the other issue.
Thanks.

Daniel BParticipantOK great, thank you. I have updated the CSS reference in the child theme correcting this issue.
Now I am just left with the navigation font issue and the customiser crashing on me. Thank you.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
I fixed navigation issue by updating Navbar letter spacing value under Customize -> Header
Customizer works fine, how we can replicate the issue?
Thanks.

Daniel BParticipantHi Christopher
Thanks for the Navbar letter spacing edit. I was able to further edit that also which is great. Possibly to do with the style sheet fix also.
All good now. Thanks again for your quick assistance this evening (my time) 🙂

Daniel BParticipantActually, I just came across another issue – sorry.
See http://www.blackburns.com.au/our-services/business-super-coach/ as I am getting a RevSlider issue;
Notice: Undefined index: settings in /home/blackbx8/public_html/wp-content/plugins/revslider/includes/slide.class.php on line 56
I tried re saving the page and slide with not improvement. Also, other slides I am using on other pages are working fine?
Thanks.
