Karla PParticipantVisual Composer is not loading. Was fine about a couple of weeks ago.
I believe that X-Theme is set to update automatically, and it is not showing in my dashboard as prompting an update. My WordPress is up to date. The site is http://www.exds.com.au
Also, I am not a developer, so have only very basic knowledge. However, I have been able to use and update the site easily for the past couple of years.
Regards, Karla

RupokMemberHi there,
It seems you are using very older version of X. You need to update X and remove X shortcodes as it’s already replaced by Cornerstone.
Let’s update the theme manually for now. You can download the installable theme from themeforest or here – https://community.theme.co/dashboard/
You can just place the extracted theme folder x under wp-content/themes/ folder using FTP replacing the old theme folder.
Also please follow the installation video to understand it better – https://community.theme.co/kb/theme-installation/
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please disable x shortcodes plugin and visit X addons page to install cornerstone automatically. Please update VC as well.
Thanks.

Karla PParticipantalso have noticed, that after deactivating X shortcodes plugin and the dashboard indicating ‘plugin deactivated’, X shortcodes still show ‘deactivate’ link rather than ‘activate’. Does this indicate it hasn’t actually deactivated?

Paul RModeratorHi Karla,
You need to update your theme first before you can deactivate xshortcodes plugin.
Please note that automatic updates only started at xtheme version2.5 and upon checking I can see you have Version: 1.8.1.
You need to update your theme manually using ftp, you can follow our guide on the link below.
https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
Hope that helps

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Your current version of X is 1.8.1 and automatic update is not available for old versions.
Please backup your site and follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/ to update your theme manually via FTP.
Next remove x-shortcodes folder from wp-content/plugins.
Then login to WP dashboard and you’ll see X addons on left sidebar, navigate to X addons page to intall cornerstone automatically. Follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation to validate your product.Hope it helps.
