foundry512ParticipantHi,
Have a site that was built previously with visual composer and ultimate addons for visual composer with another theme. I have migrated over to X theme, but many of the elements that are working fine on the live site are no longer working on the new dev site. I took the following steps to help ensure compatibility; uninstalled Cornerstone (shouldn’t have anything to do with it, but just in case), disabled X Theme Integration in VC, made sure admin has full access to all VC elements (am logged in as admin), updated theme and all plugins, disabled ultimate addons (just in case but has no effect). Currently the main element I am missing is the basic text field, but there are others. After reading all of the documentation and several forum entries, I’m still a bit confused as to why these issues are occurring. Would appreciate a quick look and a bit of guidance.
Thanks!!

RupokMemberHi there,
Kindly enable X Integration to get the other elements like “Text”.
Cheers!

foundry512ParticipantThank you for that direction, but unfortunately it actually made the layout worse. Quick question – it seems like this is the issue that was laid out in the documentation which is what I was trying to deduce in the first place; X theme does not really play well with previous versions of visual composer or at least the code structure of it. Is the only solution to broken VC layouts completely recreating the layout from scratch? I’ll be honest – I’m not really looking to recreate all of these pages when they are working fine on another version of VC.
