rappapo2ParticipantI am not able to validate my x purchase code. I’m working in a development environment and I made sure to use the same url that wordpress lists in settings > general. The purchase code had previously been validated correctly but it is no longer working. I need to validate because I updated wordpress and now cannot delete items using cornerstone because of the bug with the older version.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks

John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! If you are using the same purchase code for the live site and dev site, you need to make sure you assign them in your manage licenses page here in your Theme.co account.
If you don’t assign the URL here, and you used the purchase code on one site already, it will give you that error.
Hope this helps clarify – thanks!

rappapo2ParticipantI assigned the dev site to the purchase code before there was an option to assign a dev code. I think that might be why it was working and now it isn’t. There isn’t a live site set up yet, is it possible to work in the dev environment before I set up live?

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Once you are finished you can unsigned your lincense from your old URL and assigned to the new URL.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let us know.

rappapo2ParticipantThere isn’t a new url, it’s always been the same. It’s still not validating. I’m inserting the same purchase code that’s connected to the same url.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
As we have explained here (https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/), validation are just meant for real domains, though we also enable localhost validation for development which we do not guarantee its validation success (user can still manually update or install extensions).
However you can create unique domain using virtual host (vhost). For example you can create (your-domain.dev), and then use it to validate your site.
If you’re using OS X server, please refer to this article on how to setup a domain on MAMP (http://blainsmith.com/articles/quick-and-dirty-local-domain-names-for-mamp/).
If you’re using something like XAMPP, you can find an article explaining everything in detail here (http://sawmac.com/xampp/virtualhosts/).
Hope that’s clear.
