Sarah WParticipantLike many others I’ve followed all the instructions and find Simple Lightbox not very simple.
I’d like to be able to click on a thumbnail and have that open up the lightbox.
I followed the instructions to the letter at http://archetyped.com/know/slb-single-link-slideshows/
However all i got was my thumbnail opening in its own page.I think I’m probably missing something simple like telling it, it’s a lightbox, but no where can I find exactly what to do.
I have used a test page so here is the link

Thanks for your helpMay 12, 2016 at 2:32 pm #988369
JoaoModeratorHi THere,
Please try to follow this model.
[image class="launcher" src="image-1.jpg" link="true"] [image class="launcher" src="image-2.jpg" link="true"] [image class="launcher" src="image-3.jpg" link="true"] [lightbox selector=".launcher"]It is important to have a . in front of the selector class.
If you want to use just one image it is also possible.
If you use cornerstone you can use a raw content to add:
[lightbox selector=".launcher"]anywhere on your page and than just add the class launcher (or any other name you prefer) to your images.
Hope that helps,
Joao

Sarah WParticipantHi,
sorry it didn’t make any difference. The image just links to itself in another page.
I’m obviously missing something here. I’m pretty used to wordpress and plugins but this
feels like there is a huge chunk of information about the process missing, or more that I am missing it.
Whenever I pull media into my pages the html written looks like this:So if I try and follow your instructions above my html looks like this:
[image class=”launcher” src=”
” link=”true”]
[image class=”launcher” src=”
” link=”true”]
[image class=”launcher” src=”
” link=”true”]
[lightbox selector=”.launcher”]and it doesn’t work. Help!

Upon checking the code, the class launcher is not added on the image.

RadModeratorHi Sarah,
Another support here, in your sample URL http://www.amblesideonline.co.uk/3127-2/ the lightbox works. But it’s different lightbox than what’s on X theme. Maybe you already decided to use another lightbox? Regardless, glad your lightbox works now. Is there anything we need to check and setup?
Thanks!
