    Hi Guys,

I’m new to Xtheme and WordPress.

I’m trying to build a simple membership site with Memberium, BUT through Cornerstone (which I love).

Now, I know you guys can’t help with specific detailed information within third party software and plugins, but what I’m trying to do is fairly fundemental I think?

Essentially, I have template code within wordpress, from Memberium, that appears and works in the “Text” section of WordPress page. If I try to use this text and code within Cornerstone, I’m not getting any results. The code seems to not appear.

I’ve tried pasting it in Cornerstone as text, as code, as raw HTML – but everytime it appears as if some of the text stays but any code isn’t there.

Where should I be putting my text and code to build these pages in Cornerstone? How should I be implementing it?
I have searched online but I can’t find an obvious answer (my lack of understanding of many of the terms not helping).

An example of my template text/code is:

    [memb_has_membership memberships=membership1]
    Product 1 Here
    [else_has_membership]
You don’t have access to Product 1, Click Here for More Info…
    [/memb_has_membership]

    [memb_has_membership memberships=membership2]
    Product 2 Here
    [else_has_membership]
You don’t have access to Product 2, Click Here for More Info…
    [/memb_has_membership]

    [memb_has_membership memberships=membership3]
    Product 3 Here
    [else_has_membership]
You don’t have access to Product 3, Click Here for More Info…
    [/memb_has_membership]

    Thanks,

    Andy

    Hey Andy,

It sounds like that plugin could not be added inside a shortcode. Content inside Cornerstone is basically wrapped within a shortcode (see attachment).

Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Andy. I am using Memberium too and yes using it with X is a real pain ad retty clunky. Cornerstone renders the use of Memberium almost redundant for a non-techie Client. Basically you need to have some coding knowledge and confidence to do this.

It’s strange because it seems pretty easy to add a facility to add before and after elements code. With a basic BEFORE and AFTER fields in the element’s control – all of them could have it. For memberhship sites this type of content display control is standard form and X Cornerstone does not really facilitate this at all. Except using the RAW Text element.

This is what I do. I design the page as I want it, then using the Inspect facility in Google Chrome to isolate and copy the code for the element. I then replace the element in Conerstone with a RAW Text element, copy in the code from google and surround it with the Memberium Content Display Code. It does work but its NOT for those that are not confident with coding. It’s not rocket science but many Clients willnot be comfortable with it. Unusually for X Cornerstone it feels very clunky and a bit amateurish. Hey ho.

If Theme.co got this one nailed they would open up a whole new marketplace in easy development and administration of membership sites!

    Hi John,

We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!
