topcallParticipantHi. I tried upgrading today a website that had this super old X (VC stopped working – known WP vs VC issue). Anyway, I did upload everything, went to admin console etc. But unfortunately the page does not look like it should. After more detailed inspection I found out, that settings from the Customizer (which at 2.0 has its own menu) were not really visible anywhere (sticky menu, logo, colors etc.).
I exported Customizer settings from the old X (as JSON) – but the latest version does not have any place where one can import these settings. How should I approach such a large upgrade? Or is it “the hard way” – going through all the settings and making sure things are setup correctly?
Thanks in advance.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
This is a big jump, so the first thing is to do a backup.
If you still have your old version available I would recommend you copying your Custom CSS and Custom JS code from Customizer, and taking screenshots of your other tabs to make sure you have a good reference and it should be quite fast to fix. Customizer has improved since version 2 and although I am not sure it is possible that you run into troubles but it is possible.
If you can´t update your Theme on Wp Admin Dashboard you will need to perform a manual update:
https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
After upgrading make sure you deactivate and delete X-Shortcodes Plugins and Have Cornerstone activated even if you don´t use because it has incorporated the functionalities of X-Shorcodes.
You will also need to do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.Hope this helps.
Let us know if you have further questions,
Joao
