whatupchukParticipantHi,
So noticed some weird stuff going on with the LayerSlider – NOW when I edit a built slider, the minute I hit save, you it disappears and when you refresh the layerslider edit page, all the content and settings are gone, even the preview says “No Preview” which shouldnt be true – I luckily had a backup, imported the JSON file in and it came back but now everytime I update, it dissapears.
I do wonder if this has to do with my PHP version. The client needs to be upgraded or needs to move hosting.
Any insight is great – I attached a screen shot.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If it doesn’t help, provide us with screen cast to show us how we can replicate the issue.
Please provide us with login credentials in private replay. In regards with integrated plugins version :
Stability – Newer versions of software do not always equal greater stability. Oftentimes there are undiscovered bugs that are introduced with certain versions and are unknown until the product has been released to the public for some time. The version of the plugin that we bundle with the theme is more or less guaranteed to work without any issues as we take a great deal of time to test all functionality thoroughly before releasing it along with the theme.
Hope it helps.

ChristianModeratorI see the PHP version is still 5.3. Please tell the web host to upgrade to 5.6. It is best to switch to a quality host though. See https://community.theme.co/get-hosting/ for our hosting.
Thanks.

whatupchukParticipantThanks – I assumed the PHP could be the issue.
Did you see anything else that could be causing the issue?November 28, 2016 at 8:25 am #1273186
JoaoModeratorHi There,
Please update your PHP and if the issue is not solved contact us, at the moment the most probable cause is related to the PHP version.
Thanks
Joao
