My site has some decent amount of customization in php files + css and is still running Version: 3.2.4. At the time of the cornerstone release I remember reading that upgrading to 4.x was painful and ill advised. I want to keep wordpress and woocommerce current and wondering if the only way to do that is to bring the theme up to date. What should I expect to happen if I upgrade to the latest 4.6.1 release?

    Thanks for your guidance!

    Hello There,

    Thanks for writing in!

If you have made the changes using Child theme then there should not be any issue while upgrading. On the other hand if you are not using child theme and the changes were made directly in that case it’s advisable to migrate them to child theme before upgrading. Can you please confirm?

    Thanks.
