    Hi –

    I’m trying to update visual composer, but it tells me that there is an invalid license key. When I go to “product license tab” under visual composer it tell me to update the product license under the “product license tab”. Is there another tab that I am missing? I can send screen shot and additional info if this goes to a private convo.

    Hi There,

    Try Uninstalling Visual Composer than going to your Wp Dashboard Addons and install it again.

    You won´t lose any data, all your data is stored on the database.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing back. You can just deactivate and delete from Plugins page from your WordPress Dashboard. You can also remove the folder js_composer from /wp-content/plugins/ with FTP.

    Then install from X Addons page.

    HI – I tried this and I’m no longer getting a license error, but I’m now just getting a generic couldn’t update error (Update Failed: Plugin update failed.) What should I do?

    Hey There,

    Can you remove the plugin using FTP and then install it again from your WordPress dashboard > X Addons please?

    Don’t forget to take a backup of your site, just in case.
