    Hi,

    After this last update, July 6, 2016, the website was ruined. What I noticed was that Visual Composer was not working any more and that X-shortcode was dead. I had to reset a backup.

    Question:

    Is the theme X of 2014 still usable or is the theme forcing me into Cornerstone???
    (I tried cornerstone at the beginning but it was not comfortable for me, could not change text colors and so on)

    Hello Anne,

    X shortcode plugin is now consolidated into Cornerstone. Thus Cornerstone is now a required plugin. Please remove X shortcode plugin. We can still use Visual Composer although we do recommend to us Cornerstone Please check this link for latest compatible version:https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/. Make sure that X theme and all your plugins are updated. Please check our changelog here:http://theme.co/changelog. Also note that shortcodes are now prefixed with x_.
