mizschmittyParticipantAuto update wasn’t working, I think b/c we switched from dev domain to main domain (even though both now point to same place)? I updated the main domain in the license record: http://www.koworksllc.com. Still no auto update and according to web host, trying to edit with Cornerstone is causing usage spikes and slow delays.
So I follow instructions for manual update. Name folder x-updating, add via ftp, rename x folder x-previous, rename x-updating to x. Now child theme is broken and Cornerstone won’t validate.
Tried reading previous threads, but at this point I’m frustrated. This is not my bailiwick. I’m mostly a designer, not a developer. Please help!

JoaoModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! You should be able to update Cornerstone if you have X license validated.
Please do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.**Note auto-updte does not mean it will update itself, it means you can update X and it´s addons via WP Admin Dashboard instead of FTP.
Hope this helps.
If that does not work please provide your FTP Credentials as well in a private reply.
Thanks
Joao

Paul RModeratorHi,
Upon checking, I can see your theme is added in another x directory – /wp-content/themes/x/x/
http://screencast.com/t/8sz3wGSk3M
It should only be – /wp-content/themes/x/
Kindly move x folder into /themes
Thanks

mizschmittyParticipantHello, That worked. Child theme is now fixed. Now I can go back to the original issue that I was trying to update hoping it would fix and it didn’t. But I’ll open a new topic for that. Thanks!
