gphargreavesParticipantHi,
I am trying to tweak the favicon on my site http://www.depthofemotion.com
For some reason there appears to be a<link rel="icon">tag in the header. I am fairly sure I haven’t edited the theme directly and I would have thought if I had that updating (as I have this evening) would undo that change.I will be using the standard site icons in the customizer once I figure our where these link tags are coming from?
Can anyone with more knowledge about wordpress tell me where I am likely to find this? The only place i remember altering a header directly is in my previous theme (which wasn’t a problem as the favicon was the same when I moved to X).

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! I have checked your site and I saw the link icon tag which is in charge in adding a favicon in your site. You can set this in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Site Icons. You can change or insert a custom favicon in this section of the customizer.
Hope this helps.

gphargreavesParticipantHi,
Thanks for you reply. I had already check this however I did manage to get to the bottom of it.
It seems that my previous theme had somehow set the favicon in a strange way that persisted after the theme was disabled. I had to re-enable my old theme and go into the customiser and remove all the old icons and then re-activate X.
So in case it helps anyone else and you have customisations not applying properly, its worth checking if an option in your previous theme is persisting.
