islandowlParticipantCan you please explain more about working with Stacks and if there is anyway to mix and match?
I do code some, but am confused about the limitations of the stacks and also the limitations within a stack in regards to the different demos.
For example, can aspects of Integrity 1 and Integrity 5 be used in the same site without conflict? Or can I use the post carousel from Ethos in an Integrity stack? Or things from Integrity 1 or 5 in a Ethos stack?
Can I install multiple demos on one dev site? (This would mainly be so I can play with the code.)
Thanks!

RahulModeratorHey There,
You can follow this thread :

Hope this helps to know more about Stacks and its functionality.
Thanks.

islandowlParticipantHi, Sorry but you did not answer some of the questions I asked above; nor does the link that you sent me answer it.
I understand that the Stacks are not combinable; like having a part of a site using Ethos and another part using Integrity, but how about within a Stack?
For example, can aspects of Integrity 1 and Integrity 5 be used in the same site without conflict?
If each version of each stack is to be considered a separate theme that cannot have other features then X is far more limiting than I had realized!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. Each stack has its own layout. We don’t provide support for mixing stacks especially for blog and portfolio pages, other pages which are created in Cornerstone like about and contact pages can easily be done in all stacks.
Note that we have multiple stacks in a single theme which should be considered as privilege. Technically it would be messy if we have some option to mix them and that’s not a limitation.
And Integrity 1 and Integrity 5 are not different stacks; they are just different implementation of Integrity stack. You can re-use the elements from both demos in a single site.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We’ll be happy to assist you.
Hope that helps.

islandowlParticipantThank you. That does help.
So if I am using Integrity could I upload more than one Integrity demo to a single site so I could pick and choose what I want to use on my site?

FriechModeratorHi There,
No, demos does not work that way. You can only import one demo as your base design (most users choose which is closest to their final design).
And from there you will work your way to achieve the look of your site what you want it to be. Adding, removing, editing content.
Demos serves as your canvas, it is not necessary as the final looks of your site.
Hope this shed some lights.
Cheers!

islandowlParticipantI am not understanding then.
If Integrity is one stack – which is considered to be a theme within a theme. And you have 9 demos that have page designs in them but are still within the Integrity theme within a theme, why does it not work to have a page from Integrity 1 and other pages from Integrity 5.
If I cannot upload the two demos into one site is there another way I can capture the code. I looked at “View Source” but it seems to be missing some of the necessary parts; likely they are in the function.php or somewhere.

RupokMemberHi there,
The fact is when you are importing a demo it will override the existing demo (if you have). So you can’t import multiple demos to a site. But what you can do is; import the other demo to a staging site and grab the content if you really need to use the other demo content although you can just place the same element with Cornerstone to achieve this layout. Importing demo is not necessary as you can always place the element with Cornerstone and demos are meant to be illustrate what you can actually achieve.
Hope this makes sense. Let me know if you need more clarification.
Cheers!
