RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in.
You don’t need to fix them all, the validation is only based on single or few standard. And nowadays, websites uses multiple standards to make the site applicable to all browsers and devices.
What you need to fix are malformed elements, like stray tags. From your screenshots, they are on #2, #9, and #13. You can’t fix them all at once, there are cases that 100 of errors is just because of the first error.
And looks like the validator is still fetching the cache of your site, as I mentioned in your other thread. Example,
#2 error says line 613, I checked directly and there is no stray
in there, what’s on line 613 is this
Thanks!

michaelgraynzParticipantOK but whats all that mean??
November 27, 2016 at 2:47 am #1271984
RadModeratorHi there,
I think it should be okay, the validator isn’t just able to see the latest code/content from your site.
There is no

on line 613 as they recommend to be fixed. You may ignore it, or try duplicating your page to new URL and validate it again.
Thanks!

michaelgraynzParticipantOK did that but still errors.
Is the validator at fault or the code?
How do we tell? What next action.
Are they things you could fix for me??Appreciate the help

michaelgraynzParticipantCan I ask please HOW did you get the code to compare to the error?
November 27, 2016 at 8:48 pm #1272666
RadModeratorHi there,
I mentioned this on your other thread 🙂
In your browser navigate to your site (eg. home page), then with your mouse, right click your page and hit “View page source”. You can do that in your chrome. Then on source tab/window, there is a long list of numbers on the left side (looks like a scrollbar). Then scroll down until you’re on line 613.
Then find
on that line, and you’ll not find it.
Thanks!

michaelgraynzParticipantYes but when I try to edit a page in WP it defaults to Cornerstone where the code is NOT directly editable.
So HOW is it done??November 29, 2016 at 3:52 am #1274393
ChristianModeratorWhat do you mean “defaults to Cornerstone”? Could you give us a screenshot?
To learn how to use Cornerstone, please see our Knowledge Base.
Thanks.

michaelgraynzParticipantfile one is home page
if i try to edit the text i get screen 2November 30, 2016 at 10:55 pm #1276990
RupokMemberHi there,
You can’t edit a Cornerstone page with another editor. Cornerstone is not a editor like the default editor rather it’s a page builder. So you can simply mix them. If you open and edit the page with default editor ignoring the warning the page will be corrupted.
Hope this makes sense.
