    Hi,

I’m unable to log into my WP console. i’m using WP. Hosted in China.

Previously, able to log in, but extremely slow even then. Have tried VPN/Non-VPN options. I live in China, so network issues are real.

Hosting company states it’s not on their end. I use CDN. It appears to be a timing out issue. Attachment in Chinese states as such.

    thoughts appreciated.

    Additional information from my engineer:

The reason they believe it is with WP is “Because we can access site successfully, but not wp-admin. If the problem is caused by SpeedyCloud (our hosting company), we couldn’t access site successfully, and our hosting company also checked the network issue for me, they said there is no network issue on our site.”

“So Speedy, our hosting company, and I, the engineer, think the problem may be caused by WP admin system.”

    Hi there,

The login page is slow at about 8 seconds (5 seconds for DNS Resolving/Network). That is according to here http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/FJezS/http://www.iecapital.cn/wp-login.php

The login works, but it hangs after the successful login. It looks like the issue with the login, but it’s not since it’s stuck on the login page. It just can’t redirect to wp-admin since it hangs after the successful login.

First, let’s try the permission fix. Please change your folder and files permission to 744 (currently set as 700). Which means, it has no read permission.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

We’ve tried adjusting permissions to 744 as well as 777. Neither worked. Other thoughts?

    Hi,

Sorry but we have no idea why it happens, I would try checking with your hosting provider on this particular issue as it sounds like something related to your setup is causing this. Typically, this is due server configuration problems (i.e. underpowered, traceroute issues, packet loss, permissions errors, et cetera). Additionally, your host will be able to diagnose things much better due to the fact that they have a more complete view of your account and can work behind the scenes with you. If the problem you are experiencing persists after working with your host, don’t hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to assist you. Any relevant information that you can share with us from your host is also greatly appreciated as it will help us to better ascertain the source of the problem.

Hi Paul, many thanks. it’s much appreciated. Issue resolved. in case someone searches, it appears the issue was fixed by resetting/refreshing server (some cross-border language uncertainty here) where we registered the url.
