Hi,
I want to add some info panels above the Recent Posts area in my site. There does not seem to be an ‘edit with Cornerstone’ option and I don’t know how to add items to what might be described as a column right text area. Any info would be most welcome.

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, you can not edit blog page in Cornerstone. This page has been assigned as your blog index. WordPress will automatically use this page as a container for the blog articles. So it’s completely pointless to edit the page and place content to it since it won’t show up as it’s already set to display posts.
In your customizer however, there is some settings that you can set to change the layout and how your blog articles will be displayed in this page. To do so, please go to the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Blog.
Alternatively, you can also edit wp-index.php or wp-single.php depending on what you need in order to add content to your blog page.
