    Hi there,

I’ve uploaded X Theme to my website (boogiebackdance.co.za) via FTP (I was unable to upload it via Appearances –> Themes). When I try to activate the theme, I get an error page that says “The boogiebackdance.co.za page isn’t working. boogiebackdance.co.za is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500” Screenshot attached. Let me know if you need the FTP login details.

    Thanks,
    Muriel

    Hi there,

I enabled debug mode and I see following errors :

Warning: require_once(framework/functions/global/admin/thumbnails/setup.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/boogiovi/public_html/wp-content/themes/x/functions.php on line 46

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'framework/functions/global/admin/thumbnails/setup.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/boogiovi/public_html/wp-content/themes/x/functions.php on line 46

While your theme is located under /public_html/wp-content/themes/x it’s trying to load it from /home/boogiovi/public_html/wp-content/themes/x which doesn’t exist.

Please connect to FTP, navigate to /public_html/wp-content/themes and rename x to x_old to load your site, then correct the directory path.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Muriel,

You need to rename from FTP. It’s easy, let’s do that.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

Thanks for updating. I didn’t change it. It’s easy because when you see the file/folder list in FTP, you will see the option to rename this by right click as like we do in PC. However it seems you still have old theme folder that’s broken somehow or incomplete.

Let’s re-install the theme as fresh. You can download the installable theme from themeforest or here – https://community.theme.co/dashboard/

You can just place the extracted theme folder x under wp-content/themes/ folder using FTP replacing the old theme folder.

Also please follow the installation video to understand it better – https://community.theme.co/kb/theme-installation/

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!

    Hi Rupok,

I knew how to rename the folder, I didn’t know how to change the directory path for the theme. Anyway, it doesn’t matter, I deleted and re-uploaded the theme, and now it’s working. I did it exactly as I’d done before, so maybe there was a problem with the folder I downloaded originally.

    Thanks for the help.
