    Good Morning. I was going updating the plugins on my website and when I updated Uber Menu all of the settings stopped working. I haven’t changed any of the code I had put in because I thought there may be an easy fix so every setting and menu remains the same. It undid my settings completely with the update. All of the menus dropped down with categories on the left with images and sub categories to the right along with posts at the bottom. Your help would be most appreciated.

    If the X Theme Team cannot help what information do I need to provide SevenSpark with to get assistance.

    Hi there,

    Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. Looks like Ubermenu is not activated for Primary menu. Did you disable this or it was disabled automatically? Would you activate and point us the issues?

    Thank you for your reply. It must have done so automatically. When I activated it the menu went everywhere. The First tab had a list of our attorneys running down the left side and then when they highlighted the attorney an image of the attorney along with award showed up to the right.

    Each practice area when highlighted would show subcategories down the left side and when highlighted would show subcategories along with posts at the bottom.

    I tried to activate it and the website will barely load when I did so. So, I unclicked the primary because our website is live and for whatever reason took a full minute to load when it was active.. Plus the menu is completely different. With the website being live, I could really use some help. The update said it would migrate the settings but that did not happen at all in this case.

    Is there a way to go back to Uber Menu 2 for now?

    I reverted to another menu as a hold over to make my menu still functional. The Uber Menu content is under Greensboro Lawyer Menu.

    I still need assistance. I just let you know I put in a hold over, but I want my menu back, I just put it up until we had my original Uber Menu Fixed. It worked perfectly as of Uber Menu 2, and the Migration didn’t work. This menu is Greensboro Lawyer.

    Please help me restore the Uber Menu I created so it is functional.

    Hi there,

    In that case it would be better to create a staging environment with a copy of your site. So that you can always update and fix issues there and then proceed with live site. We can also assist you investigating this without any down time.

    Thank you. I installed duplicator on my website but when I went to back it up it continues to give me an error message because it says my website is too large and I need to purchase the pro version to be able to use it.

    Any other suggestions? Thank you again for your help with this matter.

    Hi there,

    You could try All in one migration plugin or BlogVault services. How big is your site? If it’s really big then you could try the BlogVault service.

    Thank you. The website is 13 GB. All in One only does up to 512 MB and 5 GB commercial neither of which is big enough. BlogVault Services is a pay to use program.

    My question is why are we looking at options for me to pay for something else when it’s your theme that is having the compatibility issue with a plugin included with your theme? I spoke with Seven Spark and they said it’s your theme that is causing the issue with the migration for the menu to work. They finished their reply with “UberMenu updates will not change or remove any existing settings.” But that’s clearly what happened. So, ultimately I’m looking for a solution to return the menu to working order which is what I had before.

    If someone could provide a reasonable alternative where I’m not paying to have my website menu returned to what I had before, please help. Also, where am I supposed to migrate the website to? I don’t have a domain to put all of this on.
