Hello,

Visual composer won’t load today. I had this issue on another site, and was told to delete the plugin and reinstall it via the add-ons. That solution isn’t working on this site.

So… I think it’s time to upgrade, and I’m having some trouble with that. I have added my staging/development site to my license, but it still isn’t letting me do an automatic update, and wants to show me the validation page. Please help.

Also, I use a child theme. I’ve checked, and it’s the newer child theme with this line in the functions.php file:
add_filter( ‘x_enqueue_parent_stylesheet’, ‘__return_true’ );

To update, do I temporarily change the theme to X (parent theme), update it, and then change back to X-Child? I’m not sure how to do that.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Dev and Live URLs in on license only work on the latest versions of X as it was only recently introduced. You will need to update your theme first, remove x shortcodes and install its replacement, Cornerstone.

You may need to update manually this time. Please review this article as a guide:
