Hi, I know this isn’t completely a theme question, but it is based around my designing with X and bundled plugins so I thought I’d throw it in the forums and see if anyone could help guide me:

I purchased X and downloaded a copy of the X child theme and developed a new design for an existing site on my local server. Now I’d like to take that build-out and apply it to a live site, so I guess I have a few questions about that process.

First off, if I change the site that my X license is associated with, will that then allow me to download all the bundled plugins I used on my new site?

Also, should I just use FTP to drag all the folders and files I used in my local install over to the live site? Or will I also need to somehow my local SQL database, or portions of it, to the live sites host?

I guess basically if anyone can talk me through any part of this process I’d greatly appreciate it. It would be really nice to not have to go in to the new site and spend hours manually redoing all the work I did locally…

FYI, I’m using shared GoDaddy Linux hosting.

Thanks for writing in! You can always revoke and re-assign your purchased code to new URL as much as you need. Just go your account page https://community.theme.co/my-account and Manage Licenses.

You can simple copy the local files to live server, but follow the guide provided here: https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration/ for properly migrating the database.
