Nharris321ParticipantHi guys,
I am attempting to transfer over serval custom php functions to x from a previous custom theme created by someone else. I have attached a snapshot of how the developer has his files stored inside his theme. They will control several functionalities needed for user experience.
I am not sure if I am supposed to put these files directly inside of the theme’s child folder under the functions.php folder, inside of the child theme’s global folder, or inside of the stacks specific folder.
He also has functions that controls classes in separate JS and CSS folders inside his theme such as a date picker css and a Java Script slider that looks like it is a plugin with its own files but stored inside of his JS folder.I will attached these screenshots in another reply. I would need direction with transferring these functions as well.
My second question is:
I am also going to need to modify how the theme pulls up search functions. The developer has already created the files with each of the search properties. I also just need to now how to transfer it to x.
Do I put this inside of the themes search folder?Thank you for the help!

RadModeratorHi there,
The customization that your site had is probably the integration of its former theme. Which may not compatible with a new theme, there are many templates and it might not a simple transfer. You may wish to contact the same developer that did it, or a new developer that can start it from clean integration.
Thanks for understanding.

Nharris321ParticipantAfter talking to the previous developer it looks like he doesn’t want to do so. Therefore, I would have to create the features from scratch.
The only thing I wish to accomplish is creating a search like Air BNB. So people can search by rooms, check ins, etc. I would like it to fetch the data from the the post IDs.
Could I possibly contact someone from your developing services about creating this type of feature on x theme?
Thanks

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for understanding. At the moment, we do not offer paid development services. I would highly recommend that you join the X Theme User’s Facebook Community (https://www.facebook.com/groups/xthemeusers/). There are several people there who would be willing to offer some paid services and help you with your site.
Hope this helps.
