janavdvParticipantHello,
I’d like to have a thumbnail from my blog images show on the main page where I have the excerpts of my blog (I have my blog set as my home page). I tried setting the image from a particular post as “featured image” but it came in enormous and above the post. It’s normal sized in the actual blog post though. Do I need to resize my images? Or is there a way to easily make this happen?
Thanks!

FriechModeratorHi Jana,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do and provide us the site URL as well so we can take a closer look.
We’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.
Cheers!

janavdvParticipantSorry for not being clear. I have my blog as my main page, and on the post page itself it often has an image. However, this image never shows on the main page, which has excerpts from the most recent posts. if you click through the title to the post itself, it shows (not all posts have an image, but many do). I’ve tried fiddling with layouts and making the image my “featured image” but nothing seems to work to create thumbnails to the left of the title. I feel like there is something obvious I’m missing. My site is http://www.janavanderveer.com. You’ll see the homepage just has text – no images. If you click through to the full post, the image shows. How can I get it to show on the home page as well? Thanks!

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? It seems that there is no featured image for your post. I can see images as part of your content but not featured image. To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / passwordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
