mike-moonrayParticipantJust started a fresh install of WordPress and X and I’m unable to validate the install using the development server. I tried 2 variations of the url and neither work.

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing in!
Make sure you follow the right path to install and validate your X theme. Following tutorial will help you installing the X theme to a desired WordPress site :
https://community.theme.co/kb/theme-installation/
If you still can’t figure it out, send your WordPress Credentials along with the X theme’s details. We’d have a closer look of the issue.
Thanks for understanding!

JoaoModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! You should be able to update Cornerstone if you have X license validated.
Please do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again. If still doesn’t work, please update Cornerstone manually by uploading it to ftp. Please check our our knowledge base to know how: https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
Note that we use the Envato Purchase code now to register the website and not an API Key.
Hope this helps.

mike-moonrayParticipantDidn’t work. I’ve revoked the the license for the development environment, then used the exact URL in Settings > General > Site Address. I then pasted the license key for that URL into X, and received the same error.
I’ve tried this with both Firefox and Chrome.

Can you please double check the credentials? It doesn’t seem to work here.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating. There was a known bug on X 4.3.0 with WordPress 4.5 regarding the automatic update. As you are using earlier version of that, kindly update the theme manually for now. You can download the installable theme from themeforest or here – https://community.theme.co/dashboard/
You can just place the extracted theme folder x under wp-content/themes/ folder using FTP replacing the old theme folder.
Also please follow the installation video to understand it better – https://community.theme.co/kb/theme-installation/
After updating theme, everything should be fine and then update all other plugins.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
