I get messages that Essential Grid needs activating – I’ve no purchase code apart from my Xtheme Purchase code. Also I have an activation problem with Revolution slider – it too says it need activation. I’ve seen the post in the forum alleging it should work fine. But it does not – see here Slider Revolution not activated

Can someone help me please

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Revolution Slider is an Integrated Plugin of X. You don’t need to activate it to use with X and there is no license key provided for integrated plugins. However if you want the premium features (premium slides, support from themepunch) then you need to purchase a separate license from CodeCanyon.

Thanks for getting back to us. When you install a bundled plugin, like Slider Revolution or Essential Grid, any of these will not be automcatically gets registered or activated because you need a separate license for each respective plugin. To better understand how we utilized these plugins, please check out our knowledge base: https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-revolution-slider/, https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-essential-grid/

Meanwhile, since only registered can import slider templates within the dashboard, you can download the templates and manually import the sliders to your site. You can check out and downloads the sliders from here: https://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/

So, would we need to purchase another license code to use the Add on features as well? Like the whiteboard feature in slider revolution, for example?

If it is a premium feature yes, but I believe beside some premium sliders all the other functionalities of slider revolution work 100%
