Dan KempParticipantHi – I’m really keen on Themeco hosting but I need some convincing! I’ve recently refreshed our website using X Theme and now want to upgrade our hosting (moving from Bluehost). It’s going to be a choice between Themeco and WP Engine, I think.
I have around 100k sessions per month so will need the Premium version – could you answer these questions for me?
At the end of your ‘Performance‘ article it says: “When it comes to site performance the webspace is crucial. Things like having a SSD server, running Litespeed and having enough resources like ram are key to provide a smooth experience for your users.”
1. What servers does Themeco hosting use?
2. How much RAM?
3. How much bandwidth?
4. Is it shared hosting?
5. How good is the site caching? I currently use Cloudflare – would it mean I don’t need to use Cloudflare any more? Should I expect page load times to decrease? Thanks for your help.

RubinKeymasterHey There,
Rubin here, lead of hosting.
First of all we also have a Standard+ plan which will suit your needs and costs $25 per month.
1. We are using Amazon AWS so there is no real server it’s a cluster of many servers which increases power, scalability and reliability.
2. Up to 2600 GB RAM and 764 virtual CPUs – Yes you have access to all of that power by just being on our cluster.
3. Depending on your plan the bandwidth varies.
4. This is cloud hosting not shared hosting, you can’t compare our offer with shared hosting as this is a real cloud hosting solution.
5. You do not need CloudFlare anymore, we have our own Themeco Caching no other tools required.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Dan KempParticipantThanks Rubin. How do I access the Standard+ plan? I only see Standard, Premium and Pro listed here: https://community.theme.co/get-hosting/
I’m happy to proceed today if you can tell me how to get started.

Dan KempParticipantHi Rubin,
I’m transferring a site from an existing host. Your booking form won’t accept my WordPress username, and I need some guidance about the domain name. I have a domain name for the staging site, should I use that? Ultimately I’m going to point bookcreator.com to the staging site but only when the site is tested on the new hosting platform.
I’d also appreciate more details on this Standard+ package. At the moment, I’m pretty frustrated with your pre-sales service! You’re making this too hard for me – I really want to get up and running by the end of the week.
Could someone please email me directly at [email protected] so I can progress this quickly?

nikiniki9doorsParticipantHi guys – the standard plus – what are the specs for that? I am interested in switching my hosting to you.
Also what are your pageload speeds like? Im currently on shared and it’s turtle slow.

RubinKeymasterHey There,
We are a premium cloud hosting provider utilising the most modern infrastructure available so page speed is key to our offer. Our Standard+ is 5GB Storage, 100k Visits and 100GB Bandwidth for $25.
Hope that helps!

nikiniki9doorsParticipantHey Rubin, Thats fantastic – and what happens if I go over that one month? Do you shut my website down or do you get in touch to upgrade? Also can I upgrade/downgrade at any time? My website will sort of be seasonal since its in the tourism section. And tourism slows drastically from Nov-Feb here.
Also, what is the premium for hosting in the EU?
December 18, 2016 at 1:53 pm #1297330
RubinKeymasterHey There,
We are not shutting down any sites as we know how big of an impact this can be for a business. We reach out and will find a solution together. Up and downgrading is possible at any time.
EU hosting has a 15% premium. So the Standard+ would be $28,75.
Hope that helps!

VisitWhanganuiParticipantHi there awesome folk of Themeco!
I also have a question re hosting.
For my day job, I run a VPS here in New Zealand which hosts about 5 sites. The CP is Plesk. I’m not an expert on servers by any means, but I’ve fumbled around Plesk long enough to know how to make changes with the php to overcome various issues that occur from time to time.
For my private jobs I am considering your hosting solution, the reason being that I have full confidence in your product (I was an early adopter of X and it is the only theme I use now – period), and your support is second to none.
So the idea of having my privately run websites, which will all be X + Cornerstone, sitting on your guys system is appealing to me.
However, my questions are:
1) What is the CP? Is there a CP?
2) How scalable is it? I have one site ready to start, so I’d be looking at the most basic package to start with. What happens if I need another site, or a site really takes off in traffic?
3) Is it possible to get a demo – I would like to see how fast the admin side is if I’m working in NZ and the nearest server is Virginia it looks like? Thanks!
January 22, 2017 at 2:45 pm #1340699
RubinKeymasterHey There,
1) We have our own interface which is slim but powerful.
2) You can upgrade or downgrade on the go without any downtime. All sites share the same cluster so there is no need to move your site or do anything besides changing the limitations.
3) We currently offer a 30 day trial by using the coupon code “NEWYEAR100”.Let me know if you need anything else.

VisitWhanganuiParticipantThanks Rubin – I will definitely check this out – cheers!
