BionicTimParticipantHi
My X themed website http://www.dianaluke.net has stopped working when I changed over to a faster hosting package. It’s the same URL and same content but it will not now work. I tried un-associating the website with the code and re-associating it but no change.I keep getting this error message when I try to add the code to my site…
Uh oh, we couldn’t check if this license was valid. Details.
GO BACKAny ideas as to how I can get it working again as my website has defaulted to another theme so I added a holding page until I can sort it out?
Many thanks
Tim

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing in!
Could please do the following:
Please do the following:
1] Please login to your account and assign the license. You need to assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
2] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.
And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Please let us know how it goes.

BionicTimParticipantHi
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.I have done everything you suggested and I have even downloaded the new X updated theme to try getting it to work.
Then I deleted Cornerstone and managed to activate X.
Unfortunately I seem to have lost the front page now?
This is very frustrating…

JoaoModeratorHi There,
How did you perform your migration? We do reccomend you to use All-In-One Migration plugin.
Your front-page seems to be working now…
Are you facing problems with Theme Validation only or anything else?
Let us know more details,
Thanks
Joao

BionicTimParticipantI’m going back to the old hosting package and re-save everything.
Is this the answer?
How do I save my slider/video settings and the home page?

BionicTimParticipantI managed to get the website up and running by going back to the old hosting company and saving the Slider Revolution item that I had created. I can get the home page working but I cannot now edit it with Cornerstone as I get the message…
Hold up! The content has been modified outside of Cornerstone. Editing in Cornerstone will replace the current content. Do you wish to continue?
I did try to edit with Cornerstone and it wiped the page and gave startup options.
So I had to delete the home page and re uploload the saved pages again! Now I have to and leave it as it was…
Unless you are able co come up with a solution.
Thank you
Sorry for my stress levels last time 🙂

RadModeratorHi there,
How did you move your site? I recommend migrating it again using All in one migration plugin or BlogVault service. Migration could break existing settings and cornerstone data if not done safely. Unfortunately, there is no fix on your current issue but to re-do it or re-migrate it.
Thanks!

BionicTimParticipantHi
I set up the X Theme template again and copied the relevant text and pictures into the page. It took a while but the job is done now and I’ve learned more about Cornerstone in the process.
I will not be migrating the site again as this was particularly difficult as it was so complex. I recently moved another site by downloading the whole site through FTP and copying the mysql db and importing that to the new hosting site, which worked perfectly and easily. I did exactly the same with X Theme not realising there were more items to transfer like my Slider Revolution file and X Addons Settings. I didn’t bother with the transfer plugin as it looked too complicated.
Anyway it’s done now.
Thanks for your help.

Paul RModeratorHi Tim,
WordPress stores many options as “serialized data”, which contains both the string content of things and their length. So when you modify the URL and the length changes, then the serialized data is no longer correct, and PHP rejects it.
By using migration plugin, it will make sure that the serialize data is updated with the new url.
For future reference you may follow our guide below.

Thanks
