Archive / Theme saying I need to update but then saying I already did?

    Good evening. So X Theme is saying I need to update as does Cornerstone; however, when I go to it it fails and says I already have the latest version of each. Not sure what to do?

    Hmm, that link takes me to a post on Child Themes. I do have a child theme, but not sure how that relates to my update? Do I need to re-install the theme? And, if so, do I literally just download it and re-install it as I did the first time around?

    Just worried about losing any customizations!

    Hi There,

    Please deactivate this plugins first Sucuri Security and W3 Total Cache then revoke and re-validate the site, you can follow this guide here.

    After the site is re-validated try to update the X|Theme first under Dashboard > Updates and then the Cornerstone.

    If this does not work, please provide us FTP credentials in private reply so we can take a closer look.

    Just worried about losing any customizations!

    If by “customizations” you mean Customizer Settings, you can backup it under Addons > Customizer Manager > Export. All customisation/modification on your child theme is safe.

    Remember to clear all caches after updating so that the code from the latest version is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
