David HParticipantHI,
I am trying to make updates to an older site running X 3.0.1. I have set up a staging area, ported files, and am trying to validate the theme to get the most current version of the updates. I have set the production area in the License section, but when trying to update the site I get the following message: This site URL is not a match for your API key.
I had it working earlier today, but I have had to roll back my files several times while attempting the updates. Is there a limit to how many times you can assign the license to the same site?
Please help!

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
You’re using very old version. Please follow this link community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/ to update theme manually via FTP.
Next disable X shortcodes plugin and visit X addons page toinstall cornerstone automatically.
And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/Hope that helps.

RupokMemberHi there,
You can now use the Purchase code to validate your site directly, no need of API key; that’s also mentioned on the given validation guide. I have tried to validate your staging site with the given purchase key and it worked as expected.
Cheers!

David HParticipantHi again,
I have had problems with my staging site and have had to start over to get everything updated correctly. Can you please change the production environment on this license to http://dev.selectbrandsllc.com. I have already changed it in the License section to reflect this change, but the new production area is not recognizing it.
Thank you.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Please update to the latest X version which id 4.6.1. You need to revalidate your site. To do that, please follow the following steps:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation (https://s3.amazonaws.com/community-themeco/app/uploads/2016/04/17110514/Capture53.jpg).
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license.
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.example.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license code as the API key (if you are using an older version of X).And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/

David HParticipantI am attempting to update to version 4.6.1 and yes, I understand that I need to revalidate the site license. That is why I have asked for your help…
I cannot revoke the validation from staging.selectbrandsllc.com because it has been deleted from the server. Please validate the license for dev.selectbrandsllc.com so I can complete my updates.

JoaoModeratorHi David,
In that case you need to do the process above from step 2.
Hope that helps

David HParticipantYou are not listening! I cannot start from step 2 above. The site that previously resided at staging.selectbrandsllc.com is no longer on the server. I get a 500 server error when I type in the old URL. I cannot login to it to revoke the license. I need you to do it from the admin side.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
I guess there is a missunderstading,
You don“t need to revoke your URL on Step 2 on your website you need to revoke on your Themeco account.

Let us know how it goes,
