    Hi

I have purchased and several licenses now of X and it’s an awesome Theme that just works great for everything.

I have one site that I am using it on though and I am getting a JS error.

I am using a purchased plugin ‘pro WP Ultimate Post Grid’ but I can’t get the ‘filter’ menu to work I have contacted the plugin developer and he has suggested that it is due to the JS error in the attached screen shot.

I have updated to the latest version of the theme and all plugins etc.. if I switch to the ‘twenty16’ theme then the plugin works but when I switch to either X or the X Child theme I get the error in the screen shot and ‘filter’ menu stops working on the grid.

    See – http://176.32.230.49/cig.gg/directory/

Can you let me know if it is possible to resolve the JS output error?

    Thanks
    Tim

    Hello Tim,

    Thank you for the screenshot.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict first. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    Hi

I only have a minimum number of plugins active and they are needed to display the content.

    Plugins active are:

    Advanced Custom Fields
    Cornerstone
    Custom Post Type UI
    WP Ultimate Post Grid Premium

If I switch to twenty16 theme it all works correctly. I have uploaded the latest version of ‘X’ this morning and currently have the main theme active and not the child theme to ensure it is not anything in the code or styling of ‘x child’

You can see in the screen grab I am still getting the JS error.

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for updating. I think it’s using the same library that included on theme for Masonry layout since the error is related. Unfortunately we can’t guarantee any compatibility for the third party plugins since there is no way to make them all compatible.

    Thanks for understanding.

Is there any plugins that would do the same as I am trying to do that are available for with X as I would rather keep using X and change the plugin?

    Thanks
    Tim

Hey no worries about recommending an alternative plugin. I am just going to code an archive page in the child theme instead. Thanks for your help. Tim 🙂

Hi Paul, Sorry one more quick question.

I have created my own archive template now using the X theme but need to show more than 10 items on the archive page. How can I increase the number of post displayed.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

It’s controlled by global setting, you can change it to Admin > Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most.

    Thanks!
