Is there any way of editing the skins used in The Grid? The https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-the-grid/ doesn’t seem to cover skins at all.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, you can only customize the skin. There is no feature yet that you can edit the skin itself (I am assuming that you have been using Essential Grid which you can edit the skin). Please check out the full documentation of the Grid plugin here: http://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/#!/skin_settings

It doesn’t help me with my situation, but your answer helps me from spending more time trying to look for a non-existing editing feature. 🙂

We could definitely add that on our feature request list but unfortunately, we cannot provide an ETA when it will be implemented as it would depend on the amount or request the feature gets.

Since there is no editing i will be switching to another grid. Almost everything is excellent in The Grid besides for this.

Did I understand it right? There is no availability to edit skins as presented on the plugin site, Create/Edit Skin:

Skin builder is available from version 2.0, the bundled plugin we have is just 1.6.0. Please stay tuned with the updates, we usually provide plugin updates along with theme updates.

Now that the latest version has been released which includes the skin builder, there seems to be a discrepancy between the list of skins that you can edit and the ones that are available in the grid editor. For example, I can build a grid and use the Dacca skin but it is not available in the skin builder to edit. There are only 12 available out of roughly 30 that should be available. How can I get the skins to import into the builder?

Go to The Grid > Import/Export > Click Read Grid demo content > Click Import selected item(s).
Then go to Skin Builder > Import Demo Skins.

No, importing the demo grids does not make the full set of skins available, it just imports the same 12 skins again making duplicates.
