EDParticipantHello,
I want to use “The Grid” Plugin for my website to realize a random productstream at the footer of my Website. It all works fine, but the setting “random sorting” doesn’t work. I haven’t an active caching plugin and deactivated the caching in the Plugin-Settings. Hope you can help me with my problem. I haven’t a chance to contact the developer of the plugin.
Thanks ED

ChristianModeratorHey there,
I see it’s not random. Not currently sure what’s causing this though. Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Thanks.

EDParticipantI’ve tested your suggestion but it doesn’t work as well. Do you have another idea, why the random sorting doesn’t work?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I have logged in and checked your settings. The random order may not work because by default, the items can be displayed in ascending or descending order. Unless you limit the number of items to display, you would see a difference in the items displayed. At the moment you have opted that all items (-1) will be displayed. Please try changing it to 8 or 7 items to display and test your site again.
Please let us know how it goes.
