    Hi,
I have successfully set up a grid that shows posts excerpts but when you click the text, it does not take you to the post, when you click, it just opens the photo. Are you able to help?
You can see an example at the bottom of the page: http://nature-trailz.dsegal.com.au/tour/australias-natural-wonders-active-nature-round-trip-20-days/

    Thanks
    Danielle

    Hi Danielle,

I would like to check but your given credentials not working. Meantime follow The Grid guide here – https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-the-grid/

    >As we mentioned further up, we’re only going to cover how to use The Grid and not every option it provides, to learn more about The Grid check out the official documentation here.

    Hi there,

Please click on settings icon located on top right of the grid, add link to each grid icon. Please see the attachment.

    Thanks.

Thanks, is that the only way it works? I would have thought it should be able to pick up the post link automatically, otherwise each time you add a post, you have to update the grid manually. Is that right?

    Hi there,

By default grids link to their page but I think since you’re using custom post type (Tours) it doesn’t work as it should.
If create the grid with normal posts, posts will link correctly.

    Hope it helps.

I checked with themeone and this is the response I got to my question

Q: I have a custom post type question. If I create a grid that links to custom post types, do I manually need to link each image in the grid to the respective custom post, or should it be automatic?

A: Everything is automated. If your post type uses a featured image, then The Grid will display it inside grid item. And if your post type is not properly formated with featured image, then you will be able to add an alternative image from the grid settings to each post… Themeone

So the issue I am having is not because of custom posts. Do you have any other thoughts as to why the grid would not be linking correctly? I have another issue with a Cornerstone conflict and wordpress archives. Do you think it could be related?

    Regards

    Danielle

    Hi Danielle,

It is automatic, but your grid has hover content that covers the magnifying glass icon. It’s the icon that links your item to its post page. The entire content cover it and clicking it opens the lightbox. Please select another skin.

Also, this version is old and they just recently released a new version that has skin builder. Skin builder is where you edit the elements and other linking options. It’s not totally automatic since you can set manually. Stay tuned with the updates.

    Thanks.
