viajeros4x4x4ParticipantHi. I am really happy with X, but The Grid, which is very important for what I have in mind, just doesn’t work. I can install it, I can access the skin editor, but I cannot create any new grid, or access the pre-installed ones. The PHP recommendations are OK, and the rest of the theme works fine.
The site is currently a staging site, so I don’t know how to provide access. What can we do? Set-up a share screen conference or something?
Thanks.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
You can find the latest version numbers here: (https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!

viajeros4x4x4ParticipantYes, our installation of The Grid and X are up to date. WordPress is still 4.6.1, since Media Temple won’t let us update our WP version until they have tested it for stability.

LelyModeratorHi There,
Screen sharing is not supported in this forum. You may share your staging site admin credentials on a private reply and then we can check for you.

LelyModeratorHello There,
Can you give us FTP credentials too? I did try to access and it is stuck on loading. There’s no error on the console too. We would like to check your error logs.

RadModeratorHi there,
Is this on shared hosting? It’s random, I just added one but I have to retry it like 10 times. No error logs either.
Would you mind backing up your site? and I’ll try reinstallation.
Thanks!
December 14, 2016 at 8:55 pm #1293707
viajeros4x4x4ParticipantIt is on a WordPress hosting account from Media Temple. This is the first time we experience something like this.
Let me see about the backup, the site is actually quite loaded with content. I’ll let you know when it is done.

viajeros4x4x4ParticipantOK. It is done. You can do your thing. However, we have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin a couple of times, to no effect. Just so you know.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I did some further investigation. I noticed that you are using PHP version 5.4.45 and WordPress 4.5 requires at least 5.6 (https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/). This could possibly be the cause of the issue. In most cases you cannot update your PHP version yourself and need to contact your host about this. The upgrade process is an easy process and should be something your host can do for you without affecting your website or charging you for it. Here’s a letter you can send to your hosting company:
Dear host, I\'m interested in running the open-source WordPress <https://wordpress.org/> web software and I was wondering if my account supported the following: - PHP 5.6 or greater - MySQL 5.6 or greater - The mod_rewrite Apache module Looking forward to your reply.Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

viajeros4x4x4ParticipantWe haven’t been able to work out a solution with our hosting company. They say they can’t upgrade the PHP of their wordpress hosting servers because of stability issues. We did however notice this error when loading (it is a JS/jQuery error, which might explain the lack of errors in the PHP log file)

RadModeratorHi there,
It’s due to MU Plugins and Cache, I disabled them and it’s now working again.
Update : I checked again and the issue return. Looks like it’s hosting related, something is looping. I created a sample grid dated 2016-12-30 05:36:45. But after that, the issue appears again and after waiting it then works again.
Please try it on another hosting environment.
Thanks!
